The Rothmans 944 Turbo Cup Series made for the perfect creative launchpad for the Parade Lap x LBI Limited capsule collection. We distilled all the elements we love about the series — from bright liveries to one-off model badges — into this five-piece collection.
We designed the Pennant Tee with one question in mind: what would a reimagined series promotional design look like? Featuring some of the better known liveries, we included handwritten notes that detail the unique 944 Turbo Cup specifications, as well as a period-look Rothmans pennant.
The Grassroots Tee celebrates the critically important role Mark Motors played in the series. As one of the original importers of 944 Turbo Cup cars in Ottawa, Canada, each Mark Motors import car featured the dealer’s badge proudly displayed in the cockpit.
The NINE 44 Tee is a typographic remix of Porsche’s standard numeric model naming formula and a combination of vehicle specs presented in a collage-style layout. The series keychain and hat tie everything together with simple and nostalgic accents.
